The President organizes the PTO meetings, liaises with the school principal, represents the PTO outside of the school, and coordinates the work of the other officers and standing committee chairs.

VP Programs
The VP Programs assists the President and carries out the President‘s duties if she is not present. The VP Programs oversees the PTO’s programs and works with each event chair.

VP Neighborhood Parents
The VP Neighborhood Reps is the liaison between the PTO and the Neighborhood Parents (Reps) school program.

Secretary
The Secretary will keep all records of the organization, take and record minutes, prepare the agenda, handle correspondence, and send notices of meetings to the members.

Treasurer
The Treasurer receives all funds for the PTO, keeps an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, and pays out funds. She manages the budget and prepares financial reports.

Parliamentarian
The Parliamentarian maintains oversight of the governing structure and ensures that meetings are run according to the bylaws. The Parliamentarian sits on the Board but does not have voting rights.

Used Uniform Chair
The Used Uniform Committee Chair receives and sorts the donated used uniforms, organizes them by size and type, and sells them to parents.

Volunteer Chair
The Volunteers Chair recruits and organizes volunteers for PTO events. She tracks volunteer participation and arranges for volunteer appreciation events.

Fundraising Chair
The Fundraising Committee Chair helps to raise money for the PTO that can be used to pay for school events. She works with Programs to add in fundraising options to school events as well as organizing stand-alone fundraising evetns.

Hospitality Chair
The Hospitality Chair organizes Staff Appreciation events along with developing programs to welcome new parents.
Karen
Communications Chair
The Communications Chair drafts PTO communications for the weekly BISH Houston newsletter, maintains the PTO website, and supports all the PTO team in the communications of events.
